Quotes-
'Every now and then a puff of white smoke would come from above Sevastopol, followed by a distant boom. Like fireworks during the day but instead they were guns. I saw up close what they did to soldiers, and it wasn't glorious or pretty.
' If they never got closer than they were then to the battles, it might seem glorious, I thought. They wouldn't see the fear and pain on the men's faces, just where they moved, like the painted lead soldiers rich children played with.'
Miss Nightingale, dressed all in black was like a statue there, her eyes travelling up and down the rows, looking for anyone in need...'

Your main character finds a job as a nurse just like mine, and with the book statistics, not a whole lot of people have read mine either but those who have all enjoyed it a lot.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting book.
ReplyDeleteThe main idea of your story correlates to mine quite well. King Henry the VIII has many wives and he really couldn't settle down and chose one. He broke hearts and left his daughter Mary baffled because he left her mother. Both of our stories somewhat revolve around love.
